APRILIA RSV4R Following the RSV4 Factory, the almost €20,000 top of the line Ultra-sport bike, Aprilia now gives us the not so racy but far more accessible RSV4 R.
5 kilos heavier, but €5,000 less and the differences between the two don’t stop there.
Gone is the adjustable frame, Ohlins shocks and magnesium case, the RSV is a return to the basics, allowing it to compete for sales with the Japanese and arch rival Ducati.
Plenty of torque no matter the revs, the size of a 600, outstanding brakes and excellent handling are its selling points. It isn’t the track bike the Factory is, you’ll need to put in a lot more effort when putting it on an angle. It is, however, an ideal bike for cruising around and is a lot more comfortable thanks to softer shocks.
But we can’t forget this is still a high end sport bike that doesn’t list comfort among its priorities. Its small size and very forward riding position soon becomes tiring.
The white paint scheme is as nice as you could want and the R version is among the best in the sport category. While there is room for a passenger the space is at its strictest minimum.
A good looking bike with an original and powerful engine linked to a spot party cycle this is what you get with the RSV 4R. At less than €15,000 you too can do your best Max Biaggi imitation.
