In person, Raffaele Marciello – last weekend’s victor of the 73rd Grand Prix de Pau – doesn’t quite come across as the most outwardly confident person that has crossed my path.

Swiss-born Italian racer Raffaele Marciello claimed the 73rd Grand Prix de Pau in glorious style on Sunday.

The 2012 British Formula 3 Series takes in a number of historic and famous locations as it winds its way around the UK and Europe, but few are more prestigious than the Grand Prix de Pau in the beautiful south of France.

This season’s British F3 campaign will include a trip to the Norisring in Germany the championship has confirmed after a late change of venue.

Carlos Sainz Jr vaulted to the top of the British F3 standings with a double victory at Monza last weekend while Felix Serralles won the reverse grid encounter for the second time in seven days.
