Constructors, manufactures and equipment suppliers have their latest gadgets and technologies on display at the Paris Motor Show and motorstv.com is shining on the web sport light on a few.
Michelin is introducing its ‘active wheel’ system that was actually first presented at the 2004 PMS. But this time, it is displayed on two cars, the Venturi Volage and the entirely electric Will d’Heuliez that will be available, first for fleet use from the end of 2009. This concept allows for an electric motor to be housed in an individual wheel that manages individual suspension, brakes and, of course, the tyre.
