AIS: Lola announces Thruxton sports car race
Lola has used the Autosport International Show to announce its plans for an unrestricted sports car at Thruxton in August. The Lola Heritage International Sports Car Challenge will be held on a rare unlimited noise day at Thruxton and run by the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC). An army of Lola sports racers are expected to descend on the Hampshire track with the field to include everything from the iconic Lola T70 to the evocative 2-litre series. The race is the first to be announced by the freshly announced Lola Heritage department that run from within the Lola factory. Several more events are set to be confirmed for 2010.
