F1: Yamamoto retains place for Hungary

Sakon Yamamoto will retain his drive at Hispania for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, with Karun Chandhok set to sit out a second race in succession.

Having replaced Bruno Senna at the Spanish squad for the British Grand Prix Yamamoto took the place of Chandhok last time out in Germany, and will again replace the Indian racer for this weekend's race.

"I can't wait to go back to the Hungaroring, as I already know the circuit very well from my Formula One races there with Super Aguri and Spyker," said Yamamoto, who most recently contested the race in 2007. The Japanese has qualified last for both the grand prix he has raced at the circuit, failing to finish either. He suffered a first lap engine failure in 2006, and managed only four laps in 2007 before crashing out of his debut for the Spyker team.

Chandhok's future involvement at Hispania remains unclear. The 26-year-old suggested over the German Grand Prix weekend that he was confident of making a return to the car later this season, though the team are expected to continue their rotation policy by giving test driver Christian Klien an opportunity to race later in the championship.

"The summer break is coming up and we'll have to see what happens for the rest of the season," said Chandhok, who like Senna and Yamamoto is yet to register points for the first year Hispania squad this season. "What can you do? I just have to keep my chin up".

Hispania have confirmed that they are yet to finalise their line-up for next month’s Belgian Grand Prix at Spa Francochamps, though Senna is widely expected to keep his seat for the remainder of the season.
