As a member of an Fia European Drag Racing Team, I was very much looking forward to seeing the event coverage on TV. However it soon became apparent that your commentator on the coverage of round one at Santa Pod has never even been drag racing.............
As a viewer either familiar with this sport or a new comer the comments made were not informative, educated or in fact vaguely interesting.
When commenting on a race it was painfully obvious that he didn't even know what the cars were i.e.Camero, 57 chevy etc. or even who was driving.
Added to this he was interviewing drivers not understanding the question or the answer. I.e asking Micke Kagered was that a fast time having just run his PB at Santa Pod. This made for cringingly bad viewing.
The over dubbing by your own commentators needs reviewing.............. one who knows a bit about drag racing and not roundy roundy cars would be a start.
I am hugely disappointed and am a frequent viewer of Motors TV I feel let down as this is an appalling bad example to show new comers to this sport......... Lets hope that the next time he has either watched some racing or your have replaced him with someone who has IE Darryl Bradford.
I look forward to your reply on this matter.

P.S. I am not alone with these views
