Alan Gow has clearly taken a business decision to move his series to Setanta, but now Motoors need to move on getting something else on the quite empty schedules.Alan had his hand forced rather by Motors TV saying they didn't want to show the BTCC any more.
A decision like this shows that Gow is not thinking about the viewing public at all - if he was he would put the series on either terrestrial (if possible) or on the satelite channel that was accessible to the most people for the least cost to them. He has not done that....I think you misunderstand the situation. ITV have the rights to the coverage and it is up to them to decide who to license out the coverage of the support races to. ITV did not charge MotorsTV to show the live footage, Motors took the decision not to show it this year. It would be wrong to accuse Alan Gow of not thinking as it wasnt his decision to make. If ITV didnt have the rights it would probably be Sky Sports, and that costs a lot more than the £0 ITV charges you to watch. I too am upset that I cant watch the coverage on Motors and I wont be paying for any extra subsciptions, but at least there is coverage out there for people to see if they are prepared to pay for it.
how can we watch the btcc live now it's moved to setanta. You've answered your own question there. Get Setanta.
