It would be great if he does become the youngest driver ever to start Le Mans - and whatever, he would certainly be the youngest British driver to do so.
But he is up against the current claimant, American Gunnar Jeannette, Paul Newman's young protege who raced in the 2000 Le Mans 24 Hours at the age of 18 years and 44 days (b 05.05.1982).
Ed Morris was born 02,05,88 missing out on the title by a couple of days to Gunnar. Gunnar and his family have wished Ed the best for his Le Mans race and will be watching.
There are still opportunities to sponsor Ed for this years race and he has a web site www.xetremeteam.co.uk to look at.
This week Ed is of to Belgium to collect the car and bring it back readying it for the practice starting June 4.
Well first time out in the new car Ed Morris did very well and was placed 14 th at practice in the rain and did it rain. Later he did the night qualifier.
There's not much point in doing too much in the rain as the race will be mainly dry and hot but it does sort out the electrics, man from boy!
