The two races held at each event of the 2007 FIA WTCC will no longer be back to back. During the next season, whenever possible, the first race will start at 12.00 (noon) and the second at 15.30 local time.
However parc fermé rules have not been changed and the parc fermé will still end 25 minutes before the time of the formation lap for Race 2.
Meaning that the teams will only be allowed to work on the cars for 15 minutes, until the green light at the pit exit turns to red.
"We have decided to stretch the gap between the two races because we wish to give the spectators on site a more varied show,"

i wonder what thats going to mean for tv, eurosports coverage was sloppy at times last year. they had trouble scheduling one block, let alone 2.

Mmmm not particulaly great news, as said before Eurosport are sloppy and with the 15 mins to fix your car rule we're still gonna get the drivers not really racing each other after the first couple of laps in race 1 and consolodating for race 2 if the races are seperated by that large ammount of time then why not let the teams get heir cars fixed during that period.

thats a very good idea, why not give them the time. the only thing ahgainst it is the cost of always repairing the cars but in that case why have 2 races, just have 1, it's all fairly pointless having the gap if they don't let them repair the cars.

I think I read it was down to the TV that the changes are coming about.
