Clever thinking by Citroen Sport, they can get a good feel of the unusual Irish stages.

it nothing new though a few of the other teams have already been over and done a similar thing am sure i saw gronholm in a rally a few months ago (maybe galway) and also i been told that the ford team will be going to the cork rally aswell

Correct, Gronholm did do Galaway.

However, this upcoming Irish rally will be Loeb's third. Meaning he has more experience than Marcus.

Loeb seems to like it on the Emerald Isle. He was seen enthusiastically helping to push start the odd knackered Escort MKII here and there.
Citroen have become data collecting mad. Is it because they think the championship has to won at the final round?

Maybe willyj, I think Citroen just want to collect as much data and get as much experience as possible.

Because the Irish roads are unique compared to other countries roads, and of course at that stage of the season the championship battle will be very close.

So having an advantage over Ford is great for them.

It certainly is.

Hosting a World Rally Champiobship round is superb for them, with those epic roads it's going to be an awesome rally.

It will no doubt catch a few out...

It's nice to see Ireland in WRC, but badly in 2008 the Irish Rally isn't in the shedule.

I guess the FIA want to assess how 2007 goes before they commit to including Ireland in future years

Maybe it returns in 2009, the shedule for 2008 is without Ireland.
