Watching Top Gear on Dave earlier, there was a clip saying 'WRC Coming soon'. Thats nice i thought, replace Top Gear with WRC. Sigh But um, having looked into it, the coverage sounds excellent.Watching Top Gear on Dave earlier, there was a clip saying 'WRC Coming soon'. Thats nice i thought, replace Top Gear with WRC. Sigh :P But um, having looked into it, the coverage sounds excellent. From the uktv site; Our first dose of diesel screams into view on Sunday 20th January at 6pm, and you can catch World Rally 2008 every Sunday at 6pm throughout the rest of the year. Each exclusive hour-long show will feature coverage of the championship, as well as highlights, previews and behind-the-scenes footage of every stage. So it doesnt sound like they have day by day rally reports, but pretty much the next best thing and, if they've got to do it every week, you'd assume it wont be some idiots talking about stuff they have no idea about?!?!

how it is gonna work is when it is a rally weekend it is gonna be similar to the show that was run on ITV4 but it will be there own production not the generic one that itv chucked out.

Then when it is not a rally weekend rather than show some other rubbish programme they will still show a rally based peogramme mainly focusing on the british side of the sport and backstage so to speak.

Not a huge difference then, an hour hightlights on Sunday, nice to see other Rally shows when it isn't a race weekend.

Eurosport is still personally better though, they show highlights after each day and will be showing many live stages during the season, like the super special stage for Monte Carlo, for example.
