This weekend the WTCC teams head of to China, Macau for the grand finale to this thrilling season.
Hopefully And Priualx can bring home a 3rd WTCC title back home, and what an amazing acheivement that would be. Yvan Muller matches Andy on points (81), but the heavy TDI could struggle on this tight, twisty street circuit.
Their is usually carnage down at the first bend, so being one the front row would help.
Catch qualifying, warm up and both races all live on Eurosport.

I know, that is a little pathetic. That means I will have to catch the qualifying at 11 pm on Friday.

Come on Andy, we know you can do it! Hopefully he will make four touring car titles in a row and put himself up there with the touring car greats. Hopefully it will be another strong weekend for Thommo as well, as he brings to a close what has been a very strong season for him in the ageing Alfa. Hopefully he will go even better next season.

If anybody can pull it of, it's Andy Priaulx. He has so much experience around Macau, which his arch rival Muller doesn't.
Thompson could be a dark horse, because he can still win the championship, and carnage always happens in Macau. So their are a few possiblities regarding the championship.
I want either Thompson or Priaulx to win.

Just look at F1, you can never predict any outcome in motorsport and Macau will probably be more unpredictable than any other circuit in the world. You can be certain that there are going to be some hard-luck stories but I'm sure whoever wins the title will be deserving of the honour.

Indeed, at Macau anything can happen, and it usually does. Some go home shattered, others go home with the world title.
To be honest, both Andy and James will have to be on the front now, or 3rd. Being even 4th, 5th, 6th can mean you blocked at the first corner.

Qualifying will be all important as it always is on a Street circuit, just look at the carnage that occured at Porto earlier in the season. If any of the title contenders are further back than the second row then they can kiss their chances of the title goodbye.

Ah yes Porto was just a mess, luckily Priaulx was near the front then.
Last year, Priaulx managed to grab polr by being the only man to do a lap in the dry, shortly after it started to rain. So certainly, being out on track promply is important.

Yup, with all the same tracks too, except Porto which will be replaced by Esteroil, and Zanvoort won't return, and Japan makes it's debut.

Sounds good, Porto was a bit of a joke this year and Estoril is a far better circuit. Good to see Japan appearing on the calendar, where are they racing, Suzuka, or somewhere else?

You ain't seen the back of Porto, it returns in 2009.
Deano the Japanese round will be held at Okayama, the circuit which hosted the F1 Pacific GP in 1995. It looks like a good circuit then, WTCC is entering new tertiory. Which is because it's a world championship.

Ah yes race 2 was epic, when Priaulx forced Muller into a mistake and took the lead. The Chevy's and Seats had a good fight too.
It was hetic, but I liked it.
