So, what's up with the shrunk picture of the AMA MX broadcast? Is the original SPEEDTV feed the reason the video is shown in a box with a black border all the way around (rather than just at the top and the bottom like during a regular widescreen broadcast)?



Still watchable, I guess, but a bit annoying nonetheless.

It's because SPEED broadcastes in 16:9 but the picture was only shoot in 4:3 and Motors TV broadcastes the 16:9 picture from SPEED only in 4:3. So you get black baars at the top and botom and the SPEED baars left and right becuase the picture was only 4:3.



It seems that only a couple of races are produced in 16:9.
