Here's an interesting video. It is a clip of the Dacia Logan S2000 Concept Rally Car that Dacia, who are owned by Renault, were going to compete with. It was built in France by ORECA and tested by Simon Jean-Joseph, but got canned before it could race due to the fact that it cost £60k and this didn't fit in with Dacia's low-cost image. What a shame as this looks like it would have been a good car.

Now, time for student motorsport videos. These were taken from the BUKC, mostly last year;

1) How not to do a pit stop;

You really need to watch this one first to realise just how long a pit stop should take. And although nippy, i have seen quicker;

So you get the idea, a pit stop in the BUKC requires the driver to come in, unscrewing the fuel cap as he enters pit lane, jumping out, fuel hose goes in, fuel hose comes out, driver jumps in, 2 people at the back lift up the kart, step forward and bump the kart onto the ground to give the engine a kick and fire it back into life (these being non clutch karts!)

Now, let York Uni's B team show you how not to do it;

Notice the pick up, drop, push technique being employed. Didnt work too well (missing the crucial step forward and bump bit!)

2) The moment Loughborough Uni (ha) said goodbye to the championship last season in a round 7 crash at Clay Pigeon.

What happened - The clown in the schumacher outfit in about 5th place decided to be a hero and took out the loughborough driver (the one whos wheel goes walkies) and carnage ensued. The biggest crash of last season by a long way, at the fastest part of track of the season too. The comments by the cameraman make it particularly entertaining!
