I heard recently that the V8 supercar Australian coverage is moving from channel 10 to channel 7 (A very unpopular move according to the Aussies I've spoken to). Is this going to affect the supply of V8 races to Motors T.V? I hope not IMO it's the only channel worth having a telly for and the V8 coverage is the main reason to have Motors, very closely followed by the BTCC.

C10 certainly has all of the current series on its channel. I have enquired around various connections in Oz and cannot find anyone who has heard that it might change.

yes it is true. i've read cannel 7 do want to continue the international coverage of the V8's and expand the series in line with AVESCO's plans...Fingers crossed it stays on motors TV. BTW did you know channel 5 in the UK have broadcast rights to the series? Only they never choose to show it. Motors TV is th eonly reason i subscribe to SKY!

I wonder, why V8 coverage on motors tv becomes more and more "flag to flag". start of the 2nd race coverage at Oran Park was especially nice - we barely were in time to see cars launching from the grid... I suspect, next time coverage will begin when they will be approaching second turn... ![Shocked [eek]](http://www.motorstv.com/en/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif) sorry to say this, but it suck real bad

You are so right motors tv doe not seem to care about the people who love to watch the v8's. All other motor sports gets all the coverage but we don't. Sort it out motors tv we are not happy

Well, excuse Motors for having a day packed full of racing....
If V8's were racing alone I'm sure they'd do better but they'd been live at Snetterton all day so I guess that changes things...

Weel Paul if you think that then you are not a true v8 fan. If motortv want to they could extend the coverage of the v8's but we are not important to them. Motors tv should just show the races live for us die hard v8 fans and then you can watch the delayed coverage if you want after you have finished watching the shopping cart races in the UK.

Couldn't agree more. Would love to be able to watch the V8 Supercar races live as they happen and its not like there is going to be anything more important on at that time of the night. The profile of the series on the channel should be raised as well to encourage more people to watch it when it on.

Well you can't please all people all the time, just think yourself lucky to have a channel that only shows motor sport (sure they do their best to please us all) but I like to see BTCC, DTM, V8's & F1.
As all the other channels think that foot bloody ball is the only sport anybody likes, even showing live games of two non UK teams, So well done motorstv, but would be nice if they pushed the V8's more.

Exactly...
And Motors TV have shown Live V8 Supercar racing in the past, I guess there wasn't enough V8 Supercar fans getting up at 2am to watch the races to make it worthwhile....
And come back around Bathurst time with your "Motors TV don't care about V8 Supercar fans" attude and see how far it gets you....

I'm very grateful to Motors to be able to see the V8's at all, even on tape delay. At least the races are not usually butchered to oblivion.
