i just looked at the motors tv v8 supercar broadcasts and to my horror it says that the Adelaide races are shown everyday for 4 days after the 26th march 2011, yet the UK broadcasts only list 1 date and its the weekend afterwards (2nd april)!!! does anyone have any ideas why this might be and is it the shape of races to come on motors??!! its bad enough that the international broadcasts start a week after the race, apparently due to costs, but how is it that in the uk we get it a week after that or rather 2 weeks after the race!?! its not as if there are translations needed or that we dont pay for the channel over here is it??!! ![Bad [010]](http://www.motorstv.com/en/images/smilies/010.gif)

They have to wait for the tapes from Australia. This was all discussed already here in the forum. And the only reason from Motors TV is cost issues. Sat cost from Australia seems to be very expensive.

They get these cut tapes from V8 Supercars like this. They say it's not cut by Motors TV.

didnt know it was v8 cutting the videos, seems a bit strange.would be a pitty too if it was our only access to the v8 supercars. going a little off topic slayer, you checked out youtube lately? they have v8`s or group A aussie racing going back to the 70`s. also proper wtcc. watched the wellington 500 wtcc from 1987 last weekend. hour highlights picture wasnt too bad. got highlights of sandown 1977 next.

how does any of this answer my question?! did nobody even read what i put?! i understand that there will be a delay to get tapes, i also understand there are costs involved. the question still remains, why does the uk get it a week later than the rest of europe?! esp as its already in english! they used to show the delayed highlights about 12 hours after the australians actually watched the final race of a weekend live.. what happened to that arrangement?! the races are generally posted online during the week after the race by a couple of helpful ozzies, so it can be watched on there if needs be , even before motors apparently 'get the tapes'. to be honest its the only decent top notch racing on motors, so why should we all bother with a sky package or even the full virgin package if we cant watch it when it should really be on?!

Sorry but UK doesn't get it a week later than rest of europe. Motors shows it everywhere with 6 days delay. No way to change this without money. If you have a lot of money just send it to Motors TV and they can buy the sat feeds to show it live.

You could always watch the livestreams on the web. Justin.tv usually shows the races live. Or, you could try MyP2P.eu which also has tons of other live sports. There's tvunetworks.com which has hundreds of tv channels streaming live. Just download and install the player and your ready to go. I was going to watch the Clipsal 500 on Justin.tv but the stream failed about thirty minutes before the start. Another stream was found on tvu, Southern Cross TV, it's a network Seven affiliate in Tasmania, so they will probably show every round of the championship. That's probably your best bet for a reliable stream.

that is summit worth looking into condor, cheers! slayer, when i first looked at the next broadcast dates on the motors v8 page, it did say we in the uk got it a week later than europe. however, when i looked on the sky box tv listings on monday, i see that we are apparently getting it this sunday... so as long as its accurate and hopefully consistant throughout the year ill have a ![Big grin [biggrin]](http://www.motorstv.com/en/images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif) on my face! obviously money has lots to do with it, and as time goes on, motors tv seems to be slowly loosing more of its top quality racing series to other networks. i remember when it had le mans 24h live, but it went to eurosport... im also fairly sure it used to have the sebring 12h and also covered the alms series, but there are obviously more i cant think of atm.

A few years ago MotorsTV managed to put the full races on the same weekend as the race meeting. If you missed that there was often a replay but that was the 'butchered' version where whole sections of the race were left out. I think it was 2010 where MotorsTV started to put the races on a week after. However, on several occasions the tape did not arrive in time and they showed the previous race. In the end I found that there is a useful web site ( www.darcyf1.com) that hosts races nad you can download the full race. I've been doing that ever since and burn them onto a DVD and watch it on the comfort of my couch. The races usually appear a day after the race actially happens as well. I'm still pleased that Bathurst was shown live on MotorsTV though last year.
