According to my sky program guide, todays coverage of the perth race starts at 6pm uk time. i have set my sky plus to record it as i have other things to be doing as i write this it is around 5.45 uk time, and just happened to switch to motors to see what was on. to my amazement it is the v8s, with the warmup lap being underway. now i know that the LMS race on previously was live, and may not have lasted the full 6 hours, but that is no reason to change the schedule by 15 or 20 minutes if not longer. it is by pure chance that i have discovered that it has started now. can motors please explain why they have done this? instead using best of crash or something to fill the gap, i have already missed the final few laps of a couple of meetings this year as the program has overrun the allotted time, yet chunks of the race are still cut out. come on guys sort this out and stop messing us around with the tv schedules

I'm actually disgusted at this, I too had Sky+ set so when I sit down to watch it today I find myself starting in Race 1 lap 12. Did we see any Qualifying? who knows cos I certainly dont. Not only that but during one add break we lost a few few numbers of laps when the broadcast is reads DELAYED not Highlights, why is this happening? Can we not have the full races anymore?
I was under the impression that this years V8 coverage was going to be much better than last years, its certainly started off alright but this broadcast had been a shambles and I now have to hunt out the missed 11 laps of Race 1 to see the crash involving 3 drivers.
Come on MotorsTV, explain yourselves.

Really annoyed about this .To be fair its not usual this but its particularly griping as there was a huge incident and those that couldnt watch it when shown ( and indeed werent watching at 545 ) missed it all.
Hope its back to its usual on time standard next time chaps

Hi people
I can help you with all the v8 supercars races you miss including most bathurst 1000 races going back to 1986. These are the whole races not highlights. I am a marshall at the Queensland v8 round and know how to get lots of bathurst stuff eg posters from 1981 up to last year and other stuff if you are interested. Bye

For the last year I've given up on the often delayed MotorsTV coverage and have been downloading the races the day after they happen on darcyf1.com.
The problem with Sky+ is that you can only start recording a program 10 minutes prior to it starting and 10 minutes after it's due to finish.
Some channels are updated on the Sky program to reflect delays etc but other channels this does not happen.
Back in the days when I used to tape races on VHS I used to put a 4 hour tape in and let it run for the full 4 hours rather than stop if a while after the program was due to finish.
