Pls be constructive and realistic on issues that they could improve short term. Long term issues we will take in another thread !

1. Picture Quality is awful.

2. Please get the WRC commentary.

3. Dont claim that the programme is a motors tv production like you have in the press realeases when it clearly isnt.

4. Adjust sound so its all on a level + mic noise from studio coming through.

5. Coverage of s2000 pwrc and jwrc.

If al else fails...........

6. Get it back on Eurosport........ quickly!!

I agree with Matt865

my main issues are:

1 need new announcer

2 less coverage of the top 3 (much less we know who wins and that is boring)

My main issues are:

1) Less onboards (If you want, have an extra 30 minute programme only for onboards)

2) More cameras in the ground, in the stages.

3) More helicam views...

4) Emphasize on lower categories (PWRC,SWRC,JWRC). In order to be successful, they need to be advertised.

5) Maybe a better picture quality and a better announcer.

I hear you all !

First of all thanks for all your comments, while some are really a litle bit harsh, we'll definitely take them into account.

Sweden is the 1st ever proper WRC event coverage for Motors TV and we know there is room for improvement... Believe me we're not willing to disappoint any of you.

So if you have any more comments to make, please feel free to do so, and it will most certainly help us make the show better in the very short term.

And, by the way, thanks for watching anyway :-)

1. Show drivers from the down.

2. More cameras on the outside in stages.

3. Better quality.

4. Change the announcer.

5. Less onboards.

Since you are part of the MTV team, first of all it is very good that you are on here and will bring our issues to your planning meetings where lessons identified are discussed !

Many of the newcomers are from this forum that you probably are aware of: http://www.motorsportforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=98

Where you also have a thread on the subject.

After looking at your day 2 coverage here my top 5 short term advices:

1. More outboard cameras, and filming. Inboard is ok as a spice, but rally, and how the cars are driven on the stages is best seen from the outside. So most of the filming from the outside. Understand that this is a question of resources as well.

2. Not only the manufacturer drivers. Not sure what the deal with them are, but the sport for us hardcore fans is so much more than 4 cars, that has to be reflected, at least the drivers that are in the points need to get coverage. Also others are worth mentioning because they do much better or worse than expected.

3. SWRC, PWRC and JWRC need to get time. Many times the real fight is here, and we are loosing it completely on TV - Not good !

4. Compare drivers to show differences. Use a split picture to show where and how the lead is built, and also how and where it is lost, also with telemetry and split times.

5. If you are to do inboard, pls find better places to put the camera. I want to rally and not the faces of the drivers ! Better then to see their feet working !

Who is this commentator?  Does he chain smoke cigarettes, and or cigars?  Why can't actually speak a sentance.  Where is his excitement?  Has he ever been to a WRC event?  Does he know how to pronounce the driver's names?  Why are there no highlights throughout the stages?  What about some of the collisions?  Why no coverage of Ken Block?

I hope you people can get your act together.  These are trying times for WRC with a fanbase that is ever shrinking with the demise of Subaru, Suzuki to name a few.

If I wanted a highschool dropout commentator, I would have hired one.  Oh, it looks like you have.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE START TO A FANTASTIC FORM OF MOTORSPORTS!

Get it right!

There is an "H" in "HIRVONEN" the finnish fans chant Hirvonen. Not Irvonen!

Get this man a ventilator so he can finish a sentance without haveing to have a break.

You have succeeded in making an exciting form of motorsports seem dull and uninviting.  Just as bad as all the American Car Magazines that talk about trunk space rather than how EXCITING the car is to drive.  I'll continue to watch the coverage as I am a fan of the best form of Motorsports out there, but I may have to switch to "Dave" if your coverage doesn't improve.

Just watched day 2 of Sweden and first improvement i would like to see is to do with audio.

Levels seem to be a bit all over the place but could be me.

Simon's commentating style aside, sounds like hes in a small box with a cheap microphone and is disfranchised from the action. Better matching of the type of sound coming from main feed and a compressor on Simon's voice wouldnt go a miss.

Come on guys get your act together anyone would think from the coverage that there are only five cars takeing part in the rally.

Even the the guy doing the commentry sounds like he's had enough and would rather be somewhere else.

Show some more action from the other cars lower down the leaderboard sonsors are paying good money for TV coverage and are getting none.

After day 2 coverage, in priority order

1 Less onboard.

2 More about the others and from other categories as well.

3 Commentator has to go.

4 Need highlights of the standings at least after every 3 stages or even better if after every 2 stage.

Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

Firstly thanks to everyone for taking the time to register your opinions on how things have been received so far.

Everything said so far has been taken on-board and I am sure we will be able to  get things more to everyone's liking soon.

The first show, a very different one to what's been seen before, lots of changes and if you guys are like me sometimes change can take a bit of getting used to.

I know there's certain areas that personally I can make slicker, but believe it or not I am on your side and I am a massive fan of Rallying and am certain I'll be doing things more to your liking as soon as possible.

Unlike Eurosport - incidentally I found it quite amusing when one comment asked for the guy who did IRC for them last year to be used...that was me!....I did IRC from Madeira 07....not all of the Rallies, but most...we don't get a chance to do everything word-perfect to script - that's what PK does..so I'm only human, far from perfect and like all of you getting used to something very different but with so much potential.

Sounds like most of you have been watching the shows carefully regardless, so thanks so much for tolerating my comments and I hope to be more to your liking next time....At least my Mum liked it....so I've got one fan!

Stick with it guys, you know you want to REALLY....everyone here is so proud to be involved with this series so we'll do everything possible to get it right.

Take care, thanks for the comments

Your commentary was much better than the german one. Again there was the most annoing old guy. Sorry but his time is over since long time. Everytime the same stupid stories and he can't follow the action on the screen.

For example one car went in the snow. He said that he seems to have problems with the light. HELLOOOO??????

He is in the SNOW!! No problem with his lights.

Simon I think you made the best out of these pictures which honestly were as already said really not interesting.

Not a very good start, room for improvement:

Get a commentator who knows the sport!

In-car camera position should show the road ahead AND the steering wheel, less back of seats!

Much more camera shots from outside the cars, also from helicopters!

The commentator should at least TRY to pronounce the names correct!

More speed/gear/revs data.
