It would make sense for the BTCC's factory outfits to do it, they have the money. Plus, more cars means more chance of getting the drivers and manufactures title.

Seeing WSR with 3 cars would be great too.

Agreed. More cars, means more action, means more fans, means more coverage :D :D

think you dont understand how it will work having more cars wont mean they have any more chance of scoring points as the rules will be just the sam as in the WTCC and in hte previous seasons of BTCC. They will have to nominate 2 drivers to score points and the third will just be there to make the numbes up.

Personally i would rather it stay as a 2 driver team rule and hope that the drivers that dont have drives can do like matt jackson and setup there own team so there is more teams competing rather than making the big teams bigger.

I think it will mainly depend on whether that third driver can bring money to the team, then they will get the drive.

Well if VXR have lost Holiday Inn money, they will need somthing to supplement that, so TOC would need to bring money to the team if they were to run another car.
Presumably Gavin Smith still has some form of Holiday Inn funding and there could therefore take his money somewhere else (SEAT, WSR, GR Asia?)
When VX and SEAT were running 3 cars there was less opposition, the opening round in 2005 only featured 12 cars iirc, so half the field was theirs. Cant remember if the poins scoring for them was diferent then.
