I see thanks to that MX2 bulls**t, the V8 Supercars round from Symmons Plains will be broadcast a week later at 5pm on Sunday 7th June.

This is ridiculous!

As with the ALMS, is this typical of what we can expect for the remainder of 2009? Is Bathurst going to be shown live????

V8 being delayed for one week has nothing to do with Live MX.

As for ALMS, the situation is sadly dictated by the current economic climate and the lack of support from the industry for V8 coverage, therefore we had to make the decision to save on satellite costs and air the races on a one week delay basis.

Obviously, as Petit Le Mans will be for ALMS, we will preserve the LIVE coverage of Bathurst.

Then please change the announcements on the Motors TV website!!!!

Car Racing has still: DTM, LMS, Indy Lights, Latvian Rally, CORR, WSORR, Drift

Bike Racing has still: AMA SUPERBIKE, AMA SUPERSPORT, AMA FORMULA XTREME, US Speedway

ALMS
You can watch every race LIVE on Motors TV

On the german site Motors TV überträgt alle 18 Saisonrennen live (ALMS und LMS), darunter den Klassiker Sebring 12 Stunden, den Petit Le Mans und viele andere berühmte 1000 km Rennen aus Europa.

And on and on and on. I wanna see what we really see not what we saw in the past.

There is an upside to the week delay in that all repeats are 3 hours so whereas previously we had only one opportunity to see the full highlights.

Slightly softens the blow of having to wait for a week.

Well at least it is being shown, I hope the missing race and blurry picture problems from Winton can be sorted too

What a total joke. Other races have been shown incomplete, and now a week late.

Satellite costs for a delayed race paclage - so is this saying that you stream the content via satellite for the delayed coverage? The races are all done and dusted some 12 hours prior to the usual 2pm UK time timeslot, a one off data transfer via the internet even of a HD recording wouldnt cost that much.

Perhaps more money to be spent on analysing working processes.

In the past 2 years the decline of the quality and reliability of motors tv has been evident and this just furthers that.

Hours and hours of repeated garbage!!!

So last question, anyone know where i can watch the V8s online?

Preferably on demand a little later on than the actual race?

I did use aussiesport.tv but the highlights on there are about 2 mins per race!

Why does it have to be delyed at all. Carn't  they show it live at 2am. Lets face it most of have sky plus or a DVD recorder so we could watch it later. Do we really have to wait a whole week. Lets face it the web site will record the winners and spoil it any way. This is the only formula left on motors worth watching its about time motors relised they are just not spending enough money to keep us whatching. I prefer to watch World touring cars on eurosport its live all races and the commentary is good

Agreed, It was luxury in recent years being able to see V8 rounds on a sunday afternoon 12 hours after the races, but the picture, sound quality and races missing! have started to grate a bit and this weekend no V8s! wait till next week!

With the loss of the DTM and BTCC its a such a shame as the motors channel for all its faults was an excellent channel for us racing fans, I for one would be happy to pay a subscription but only IF....

The money went to improving picture/quality/complete rounds so race 1 isnt missing for example and better scheduling maybe V8s and such broadcast live and a repeat in the afternoon the following day,

Im not just a V8 fan and like to see all forms of car racing but the bikes are getting a bit much but Im sure better scheduling is possible.

Having seen what happened with the DTM move to santanna its probably just a pipe dream!

What do you guys think?

I agree. I too pay for this channel and I think it would be better moved over onto eurosport as they seem to have a better format, scheduling and comentators. Do the bosses of this channel look at these forums so they know what thier viewers think. Come on pull your socks up and buy some decent series again to keep us watching

well done to motorstv for the good coverage of rounds 7 and 8 of the V8 Supercars,

lets hope the rest of the races shown are as good as this, in full without any laps missed out.

Does this mean motorstv have started reading these comments and actually made the right changes to the programmes and the repeated coverage of these races.

The coverage is purely the Australian Channel 7 coverage re-broadcast, without any edits - just with the adverts in at different times. The commentary, footage, summaries and the lot are all just as it was sent over from Aus.

Thats how it has been on motors tv for  a while, until lately with a missed race here or there, and then delaying it a week.

Another day of overdosing on bikes yesterday,  surely Hidden Valley could have crept in there with a few hours coverage to break up he day.

As a note, I did love the fact every time an advert popup came on for a few weeks it said "british rallycross radnor forest continues", no matter what was on - effective!

Can you all do me a favour and fill in a quick survey about V8 coverage in the UK - http://www.opinionpower.com/Surveys/464057406.html - it only takes a few minutes,.

I'm going to send the results to V8 Supercars Australia c/o Tony Cochrane, with a proposal to do an online coverage service, tailored for UK fans, in conjunction with my website www.motorsportvoice.com

If you know anyone else who likes the V8s, can you send it to them too...

Cheers
