super gt does get a very good entry list, which is great to watch. from what i can tell a good gt300 car runs towards the back of gt1. look at the jloc car that ran le mans and won gt 300 at suzuka it wasn't on the pace with the other gt1 cars. The gt 500 cars seem heaily modifed and quicker. I think gt1 cars have to be the same size and body shape as the road car, but gt 500 cars are more modifyed ans faster i think????
Not certain about any of that though

The JLOC Le Mans entry was a differnet car to the Super GT car. The JLOC car was a Reiter Engineering GT1 car.
As far as a comparison goes Super GT cars are basically just much more heavily modified, specifically aerodynamically, although both are stock based.
So far as I remember cars in Super GT don't have to run the same engine as would be in the production car. The car can run any engine that the cars manufacturers have in any car in it's range.

SuperGT are faster than GT1 spec cars by a good few seconds.
Basically, GT1 cars are heavily influenced by the road going version and their is little scope for modifying the car for racing.
Whereas the SuperGT cars can chop up the chassis and insert front and rear space frames along with any engine they like providing it is supplied by the same marque as the chassis. Aerodynamically they're more advanced too.
Personally I'd love to see the SGT regs adopted all over the world to replace the FIA and ACO but without manufactorer interest it would be impossible to sustain.

thats a great idea, i only have to small problems with that. the first being \i like fia gt, lmes/alms/jlmc and super gt. The other and slightly large problem is it'd destroy f1 in just a few years.
On second thoughts forget point 2 its a great idea, more now please
