Why is the sound so far off compared to every other channel on Sky? The quality is pretty bad on all shows as well. To be honest it sounds like someone with a mixer turning everything up too high and then getting distorted.
It seems to be getting worse lately and its stopped me watching the channel now. I used to love watching but the volume is just getting ridiculous and the quality is going down because its so loud.
To put it into perspective I watch sky 1 at volume 30 along with all other channels are within 1 to 2 either above or below. To make Motors TV watchable volume wise I have to watch it at about 15, this doesn't help the quality though as its still distorted.
Its also not my system as its more than enough for general viewing and I've no problem watching and terrestrial, sky, or one of the other satellite system channels. We have 3 systems in the one house and they're all the same, its also the same in several houses in my area and also in a firends house over 100 miles away.
Also I'm not talking about a sound problem with 1 particular program which can happen to anyone just the channel as a whole.
Can the be rectified or it is just going to be left as is?

it is rather loud, it's about a 4 on my tv and everything else is about 6 to 8, my tv goes upto abot 80 which is rediculous, i haven't heard it be that distorted though. whats paramount on volume wise i find that quite loud as well?
Assuming you have sky try turning it's volume down a little bit, see if that helps the distortion any.
all that being said it does need to be turned down a little (or the deaf bloke controlling the sond needs replacing) either way volume down about 10 to 15% needed please motorstv.

I just tried again after adjusting the volume of sky. Every other channel is about 35 Paramount is about the same again give or take 1. Motorstv is not at 27 and the quality seems a bit better but still seems way off compared to any other channel.

Hi,
I was going to post a message about this very subject myself. I've stopped watching MotorsTV because of the distortion to the sound as well.
I would be very interested to know how you go about adjusting the volume for Sky.
I assume it is in one of the menus on the TV Guide.
Thanks for any help.

Oh this #*@!? me right off! Though I did have to remain a bit civil and do a search just to see if anyone else had complained.
Who the hell is in charge of the advert volume - may something terrible happen to them, like their cereal always goes soggy before they get to eat it.

It is a bit of a problem, I must admit.
Your watching a race, very nice...and then you hear these painfully loud adverts!
Motors TV really do need to sort this out, it doesn't happen with any other channel.
