Jonathan Palmer wants to develop the circuit so that it is able to host international motorsport events when it is finished so the proposals sound like good news for motorsport in the UK

They HAD to make it longer in order to receive the FIA grade 2 circuit liscence they are after.

When is the upgrade planned for? Going for BTCC in July, dont realy wanna park on a buliding site and would be nice to see it in its current classic form

it looks as though it's staying the same for not at least...

it was originally planned for winner 06/07 but it has been delayed (so i hear), i'm hoping it does go through though, somewhere else for international races in the uk would be good.

thjat said when the change tracks they shouldn't destroy the old (so they could go back in 5 years if it proves a flop or just a bit crappy (see hockenheim)

nope it dosen't.

speak of track modifications the new final chicane (can't really call it a bus stop any more looks like a massive improvement of the 2004 bus stop which was pretty awful.

I'll see if i can find the pictures.
