Does anyone play it? I love this game, especially with the latest 1150 version that is now out. I only catch 3D motors once in a while, have they reviewed it at all?

I do SteveO, I drive in a good league, runs around midday on a Saturday. a new season will be starting shortly, 2 or 3 weeks I would think. We will be racing the following

3 x F1 '79 mod
3 x Nascar mod
3 x mixed car mod, you have to drive a different car each race.
3 x On/off road mod
1 x endurance race with driver change

Checkout Bulldogs

hey this looks good - i assume rfactor is freeware? (downloading it now anyway just in case). i'd particularly be interested in playing the nascar mods, although you can't do bristol unless it's a 500-lapper! ;)

btw that bulldogs site needs a little fix - have to scroll across even at resolution of 1280x1024.

aah i see it's £30 - shame. i think my money would perhaps be better spent on nascar racing 2003 season.

ISI today have released an updated .exe, v1.250 it's available at www.rfactor.net

What's New in v1.250?

Graphics:

· Fixed a bug where shadow casters/objects were not using the camera's LOD multiplier, and thus would switch out too early in cams with an LOD multiplier greater than 1.0.

· Fixed an ambient shadow bug in which it would disappear at random times.

· Fixed a bug in night racing where night-specific vis groups and shadows would only work if you transitioned to night from day.

· Restored dual-head mode to its previous behavior of emulating a single widescreen rather than two screen multihead.

· Added vehicle labels to monitor and replay.

· New PLR file overrides "Player Texture Override"

I've got a 4hr endurance race in the morning, the 1st race of a new league. So far we will race 4 x 4hr races(sprints) and 2 x 6hr races, I'll be in a 996 GT3 RSR Porsche with my mate in Finland.

We had our car straight out of the box with no race prep, it showed  I quailified last out of the 14 car grid, 3 seconds off the pace.

Everyone made a clean start, I settled in watching Sam Simpson in SBRC 2 and Scott Michaels in R4R trade places, before Sam spun out, 1 place gained :8 Sam then had, over the next 8 laps or so 4 attempts to pass me, spinning out each time. He finally passed then disappeared into the distance. At the driver change I think we was still 14th, but on the same lap as the majority of the NGT class.

Soon after our driver change Sam handed the car over to Valleysboy, some how they lost a lap doing so. VB drove well and by the driver change was back on the same lap as us. A Stop/Go penalty put us even closer to the SBRC car, but problems struck them. The SRBC car spent 7 laps in the pits, before re-emerging on the track, only to be black flagged and DQ'd 4 laps later.

With Scott out of the R4R car we sniffed a small chance of of a podium finish in the G3/NGT class, I took about 1.5 secs a lap out of Brendan before handing over to Jouni, he then proceeded to take a complete lap finally finishing about 45 secs back in an overall 10th, but 4th in class

Steve, its with www.rfactor.org, the same team that launched EEL that started the Le Mans 24hr N2003 GTP races.

I currently co-host 2 Caterham series on Friday and Saturday evenings, great fun in the R500's
