BTCC was the most intense racing series on MotorsTV for many years. The support races COULD have been sacrificed (not broadcasted), but you should have at least broadcasted the BTCC !

Not showing the BTCC races is clearly a MISTAKE. They say 8% of viewers were watching. Now, ZERO % of those viewers are watching... Hope somebody gets the point - and put the BTCC back on !

Maybe you could give us some recordings of the BTCC races sometime. It doesn't matter if it's live or not, at least try to broadcast these races somehow ...

they've been replaced with endurance racing and if you don't believe the viewing figures for that are higher than for btcc you should check out the sebring thread which went to 67 ish pages. It's very easy for motors to say look how busy are forums and how many people are watching. Sadly it's gone for now, it might come back next year but it seems unlikely right now (to me anyway)

Can't see Setanta willing to give it up so easily as it'll mean lost subscriptions, if Motors TV were to come crawling back after realising they fucked up for dropping it they'd find themselves left out.

Sebring only got to 67 pages because people were getting bored and were looking for other things to do.

I completely understand your feelings Shiny but Motors TV already know that the viewers enjoy BTCC racing and would love to see it back. The problem is that Motors TV simply cannot afford to show the BTCC in the same way they have the last few years. So unless you want to fund Motors TV BTCC coverage then I can't see any way you will get your wish.

Will Setanta really have that many people paying 15 quid a month for the BTCC? F1 on a pay channel didn't work, so what chance does BTCC have?! They're going to have a fraction of the viewers that Motors had last season!

Its a mistake to have dropped BTCC,the top 15 cars were covered by less than 1 sec today in qualifying,we are missing out on a class season,please MOTORS TV bring BTCC back,you will start to loose viewers at this rate.

Anyway, atleast there's a 90 min show on ITV3 tommorrow for BTCC lovers.

I spose you could just about squeeze 3 full races in but I doubt that'll happen.

Stick any race on for a long amount of time and you get long topics, last years bathurst topic went over 50 pages I believe.

the length of the topic is no indication as there wasnt that many people posting all the way through the race but people just popping on now and again.

As we are talking about motors TV (UK) i would rather they had live UK racing on all weekend as there is always a meeting that is worth watching if there was more coverage for the lower classes there would be better drivers coming through the UK ranks.
