Is the TV guide correct? One hour, only one hour of highlights??

Unless it was rain abandoned a third of the way through that's a really poor effort Motors TV.

As far as I know, Motors TV are receiving the one hour edited highlights that Channel 7 put together.

I watched the full race yesterday by downloading it from http://www.darcyf1.com

Just over 3 weeks until the Bathurst 1000 which Motors said they'd be showing LIVE again this year.

Can't wait!

I also saw that there was only a 1 hour showing of the race. Shame.

At least it sounds like it's a highlight package from Channel 7 rather than the usual butchered (where they just cut large sections of the race out) highlights from MotorsTV (I make sure I catch the full coverage of races usually).

Thanks for the link dcr22B.

Sadly (and once again) we haven't received the Philip Island tape, and therefore won't be able to show it before monday....

As per the "butchered" shows, those are the official V8 highlights which every channel in the world gets... we have nothing to do with the editing.

So, sorry for the delay with Philip Island, and get ready for LIVE Bathurst !

Yes, I also watched the race minus the advert breaks which were removed from the version I downloaded today.

Good race but not exactly one which could not fit into an hour of highlights.

I guess I wll be sourcing my V8 Supercar races from that web site from now on (apart from Bathurst).

Oh and a big thanks to Motors TV for e-mailing me yesterday, advertising their coverage of Bathurst, and giving away who won the Phillip Island round before they'd even shown it!

Is this Darcy F1 site legit? Cos I'd love to watch the whole thing but I don't particularly want to get sued by anyone either...

I doubt that you would be sued by anyone for using the downloads from the site.

If you downloaded it and then charged people to watch it then I expect you would be in breach of copyright.

There are some movies on there that I would have thought were subject to copyright though - various official F1 reviews etc.

I found who had won the race by mistake - I had a look at a picture in Autosprt and it gave it away.  It wasn't from the 2010 race though.....  Nice of MotorsTV to give the result away though.....
