Nigel Mansell said to the BBC: "Jenson should have won more races, he has under-performed and that is down to him. He had the opportunity and he didn't take it; there won't be any more."

"Jenson is a great talent. But he was far better years ago than he is now because he was hungry then. He's got a great reputation for partying and that's taken the edge off it. He's a typical example of too much, too soon. He'll have a great lifestyle but he's had his opportunities and it hasn't happened for him."

jensen button never did have a hope in hell of being a champion, he is overhyped for no apparent reason by the british media who evidently havent got a clue about motorsport;

from the Sun monday 6th august;
MANOUVRE OF THE RACE
lewis hamilton avoiding an accident with takuma sato who was exiting the pits

if you look at what actually happened, youll realise that they were nowhere near each other

button moon is just pants.

as for the hungary race, i only saw 2 overtaking moves, both alonso at the start (after being passed in the first (sixth) place)

watched gp2 race 2 this morning and unless morris crashes into a massive fireball and then explodes at turn 1 in turkey then i shant watch much further.

ps don't take it personally :P

Mansell might be right about button not winning again but he must have been on another planet to think that Button has "had his opportunities". Staying with Honda isn't such a bad idea on paper you know when you look at what they have done in the past and who did he turn down again? Williams, what a great season they had last year...

I don't think Button is a super driver myself but theres other drivers being far more over hyped for their talent level than Button ever was.

I think Button is a good driver, just not a fantastic one.

To be fair to Button, he never had the "opportunity". Weather that was his fault or not I'm not sure.

Ah yes, it certainly did. If it hadn't been raining at the Hungry GP last year, Button would of still be asked: "Button, when are you going to win?". [lol]

Nick Fry has dismissed Nigel Mansell's assessment of Jenson Button and said the young driver has been behaving impeccably both publicly and privately
