Don't know about anyone else but I personally much prefer NASN's coverage of Nascar. Why do Sky insist on having their own commentators in the studio, who no absolutely nothing about the sport, your in the middle of a race and we go to sky's studio, which I find very annoying.
Why can't they do what NASN does go directly live with the US, I like watching the build up to each race inclouding the national anthem and the planes going over. To me it's part of the race. Thank god for TVU at least I/we can go trackside until the race starts.
Keith is okay, but we see enough of him when he presents Speedway, which after 10 years he still doesn't know a great deal about the sport.

Time you sent your email to nascar@skysports.com then and also on the Sky forum. See Bob Garage's thread elsewhere.

I can only suggest that anyone who isn't happy with Skys coverage should just cancel their subscription
They stumped up the money and NASN didn't, can everyone please just deal with it

i emailed nascar@skysports.com after the bud shootout to air my opinions. if the real fans don't speak up then nothing will change - if enough of us get in touch then we stand a chance of at least "shaping" their coverage towards what we're used to.
i think the duels coverage was an improvement on that of the shootout, but it still has a way to go. i'm going to give them a chance to get the national anthem and the command in for the 500 tomorrow and then see if i need to send another email.
cancelling a subscription is not the answer - just because we don't like what they're giving us, it doesn't mean it has to be that or nothing. i'm sure sky will listen to a certain extent (any supplier who doesn't listen to its customers is daft, imho), but we have to accept that they're trying to reach out to less-informed viewers and they have to "dumb down" a little bit. no reason why the fox feed coupled with a uk voice-over during the ad breaks shouldn't be enough though
by the way, nationwide daytona race is live on nascar.com - green flag in 5 minutes

Having said that,I could do with less studio chat and just stick with the in car shots as per NASN

Having not watched a race on NASN but heard plenty from last season, i have the following points to make.
1. At least the races are shown live.
2. At least the races are shown in full.
3. Give Sky a chance, a late deal was made, a few weeks are they'll be on top of it

I have kept both subscriptions and am happy to do so.
I always watch Nascar Now daily and get the Nationwide races with NASN, plus a new programme they have called "Nascar Project"...recorded the first one tonight and it turns out it is the Dale Jnr Shifting Gears documentary series following him round so I am well happy with that as Nascar Now had been plugging it for ESPN and wanted to see it!
Have always had Sky Sports for all the other motorsport that they do an excellent job with, Speedway especially once the season starts in March. Also a football fan so again, both packages work well for me.
We should all be happy we get full coverage of the races, and not have to put up with the 1 hour highlight shows each week.

I am going to email my opinions to nascar@skysports.com, thought I'd give them a chance with the 500 first.
Hopefully Keith will sort it out, I believe he/sky wouldn't have provided an email address and ask for viewers opinions if they didn't want to improve their airing of Nascar.
We had the same thing with speedway when it started 10 year ago on sky with Keith. He and the producers keep improving the live airing of it each year. Especially the World Grand Prix.
Does anyone know if NASN are going to show any of the Sprint races this year. I noticed they had the Bud Shootout as live!! on last Sunday night?

They only have the highlights package for Sprint races I think along with a full schedule of Nationwide races again. The Nationwide 300 has just finished on there, great last 20 laps or so!

They don't seem to be showing any Sprint in any form according to this response I got back from them:-
Quote: Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for your email. During 2008, NASN broadcast the following: NASCAR Nationwide Series: Available in the UK and Ireland (+ all NASN European territories) and broadcast on the main NASN channel. Every race shown as-live. NASCAR NOW: An ESPN produced news, highlights and analysis show broadcast weekly throughout the season Don't forget there is more Motorsport across the Setanta Sports pack: German Touring Car Le Mans 24 hour race (TBC) If further information or assistance is required, please call our Customer Services Team on the number below. Our lines are open from 8.00 am to midnight, seven days a week. Yours sincerely Fiona Norrie Setanta Sports Customer Services
Just to add insult to injury I had a glance at the Nasn sight quite late last night to see if there was any change on what they have to offer only to discover who won the the bloody Nationwide race. It had'nt been aired yet and there it was infront of my eyes "Takes the win of the Nationwide race" total bollocks
