Sky now showing USPGA golf every weekend now so will they bother with NASCAR?



Usual pre-season panic.....remember NASN???

I'll be eagerly watching this thread..... Though worrying to read Gusty2's reply! It'd be great to have a list here of UK viewable options for each race.. Sprint , Nationwide, whatever..



Hoping that (at least!) Ch5 will continue their highlights on Monday nights.. I couldn't get the sub fee for Sky passed the missus when all I'd watch is nascar (not a footy fan!) :}

From what I've heard, Sky Sports have dropped NASCAR for this year.

It looks like sky have dropped it but they could still bid for it.Apparently nascar want to much money for the tv rights so its wait and see however i have been in touch with them and their response was.We are trying everything we can to get the nascar sprint cup to viewers in 2010 in the uk we are trying to get a deal with a tv company so we hope to bring it to you we are doing everything we can to get a deal and we feel as strongly about this as you in the uk however we cant go into strict details but we are confident that  you will be able to watch the nascar sprint cup series in 2010 in the uk.

Thats thier response the only problem is whether its live or not so its wait and see i guess heres hoping that someone picks a deal with them .

I'm one eager beaver to see the outcome of this.. I'd love ESPN America to get it seeing as it'll never appear on Motors TV . . .

Just heard from David Tuckman on twitter that Sky Sports have got the Daytona 500 live on Sunday 14th from 6pm

Just looked on Sky and yep its on, does any1 know if they are going to show the whole season ? and what about the duels on Thursday, can't see a listing for them

Well, it looks like MotorsTV 's 2009 ARCA is all the stock car I can view this year? Not even Ch5 appear to be showing the highlights from 2010's Sprint Cup :-(

Sky have the Daytona 500 live and rights for a higlights show every Monday after a race weekend.

No word on live race coverage after the 500 yet.

I wish someone would pick up the Nationwide series again - are you listening Motors TV ... Not sure if any Sprint cup regulars are running full time this year so there might be a genuine Nationwide only driver winning again for the first time since, what, Martin Truex?

Im so angry about this, thanks a lot Sky. Been a Nascar fan since the days of screensport,eurosport,motors tv and then sky. Just checked and the highlights are for one poxy hour. What good is that ? You cant follow a 4 hour race condensed like that, Jumping from lap 36 to 180 after the adverts which will take up 20 minutes of that hour too. I feel like ditching Sky right now. The only thing i can suggest is if anyone with an interest in Nascar complain to SLY or else they will think theres little or no interest. Im sick of football,golf,tennis,cricket and rugby 24 / 7 Motorsport fans get dumped on from a great height yet again. Seething.

This is crap!! I can't believe Sky haven't stumped up for the rights.....they're too busy blowing millions on football (which I like BTW).



We can always watch live on the usual t'internet streams but that doesn't help if you have a life and want to record it and watch later at your leisure.
