Just shows to me how big a player Setanta has become in the satellite tv market with them launching their new golf channel soon and next season will be showing live Premiership games as well so it wouldn't surprise me if they off-load NASN and they probably already know what they are going to do about it but wont say in case a load of subscribers quit their contracts with them.

Yeh, i reckon NASN has, maybe, 3 or 4 thousand members who only subscribe to watch NASCAR. With the contract being in limbo, and people not wanting to pay the connection fee if they have to come back, you can see why they wouldnt want to tell us, as they are effectively bringing in well over a hundred grand easily.

Perhaps we should all quit on exactly the same day and leave them thoroughly up shit creek without a paddle!

It's highly unlikely that a defection from NASN would cause Setanta much concern. However, it's more likely than not that they will keep the status quo, as it's not in their best interest to change anything, regardless of the ESPN issue. ESPN seems happy to leave the fee collections and control of accounts with Setanta, which would be wise, considering they are capable of looking after the shop.

I also pay for NASN's three month's worth of nothingness, but it's money I can lose if the race coverage continues as it is. Should NASCAR disappear from the service, I will leave them. But as I mentioned above, I doubt we diehards would make much of a dent in their revenue stream.
