Early days yet but promising to see the Rizla boys at the top of the leaderboard. I'm sure Rossi and Hayden will be working hard before the start of the season to get to the front of the leaderboard but with these new bikes who knows who will be quick at the start of the season.

Couldn't help but notice that there was no Ilmor machine testing today, any reason for this?

He's deserved wins right from when he joined moto gp but has never had a bike capable of doing it. It finally seems that Yamaha have caught up and the fact that Colin is so quick at the mo suggests rossi's going to walk the title!

Interesting though is that the yams arnt suited to a track liek sepang at all. Those positions are what you'd expect at a twisty track like assen rather than a high speed circuit like sepang. Having said that, theres a lot of mighty quick corners at sepang that we all know suits the yamaha!

Yer but you have got feel that the track at Assen was far better in its old guise and not the one used last season

You wont find anyone in the world who agrees that this version of Assen is better. Well, actually, it could argued that maybe its better for cars now as passing is possible into turn 1, more so than before at least. But generally they've ruined it!

I won't say ruined it, it's still a good track, imo. It's just not as good as it was. It's a shame assen was one of the very best curcuits and now it's just above average. Compared to Shanghai for exapmle assen is still much better, again imo.
