hows that for team selection, we will have to wait and see as they are both with out an F1 drive for 2008, with Bernd on his way out the same as Jean Alais, as it is a german series top heavy with english drivers.

I hope Di Resta gets Mika's seat. But if Norbert decides its between Klien and Ralf, I would take Klien.

i think he will get de-moated the same as Jean did and throw the teddy out of the garage, when he did not get the same support as he was in the works team, also through age and the qualitiy of new raising stars inwhich its there turn, Gary has been used and passed over by McLaren for his knowledge of simulators and setting up and testing cars, as he used to set up a number of cars in his championship year Mikka's being one of them, and being able to explain it to his engineers around him, apart from that he has got big hands too.

as Legge is almost or is signed to Audi so that will be a battle on the cat walk although Susie is all loved up with a member of, one of the teams, i think race engineers, shame.
as for Lauda as its hard to say as he is self funded and does not get a penny from dad where as the greek one has a very rich father and gets a penny or two from him.

Yes maybe Bernd's days are over, it could realistically happen. As Merc need to invest into the future rather than holding onto older drivers...

Legge seems likely to get the seat, although it will only be the TME car so I have little excitment over her coming, now we have had two women driving 2 year old cars.

Mageretois is a good driver, and quite suitable for a 1 year old car.

at least we have our teams for this season, i think the greek had wishes of racing else where, as for C Klien thanks for that.

So where in Berks are you as i have visited the McLaren factory about 3 times now, seeings your a fan just wondering when i get my next invite you may be up to come along too, as the company i work for built the place and we can speak to the man in charge and get a visit arranged, one after-noon, depending on who is about depends on the length of visit, any-way i will keep you in mind and let you know when and if there is one on.

Honestly can't see why Mercedes would want to pursue Ralf given the number of young drivers they have in their system, so perhaps the DTM organisers themselves are trying to get Ralf a seat in the series. Hopefully he wont get a seat, as we don't want people like him trying to keep his career going in the DTM.

I think the only real reason why they want him is for marketing purposes, although he's a dire driver many people know his name, which would help increase attendance figures.

I agree its a real shame that these type of drivers are getting the chance.

Indeed, which is why I said the DTM organisers must be having a role in getting him a test. At the end of the day the quality of the racing should be enough to sell the series to the punters, so the fact that names like Ralf as needed just shows that the series lacks a bit of appeal in certain countries, like GB.

I think so too, guys like Eki, Spengler, Schneider have made there name in DTM and are brilliant drivers.
