McLaren extend Hamilton's contract

And a substantial payrise to boot, presumably to give him the #1 driver package that Alonso would otherwise have had...

I have to say "well deserved"... he did a fantastic job in 2007 (way exceeding everybody's expectations) and I hope he gets the car in 2008 to really challenge again for the title.

I guess we'll see... perhaps after his 5 years he'll decide he fancies a challenge and will go elsewhere, though as Damon Hill found out to his cost sometimes it's better to retire on top.

In this morning's Times I read he is getting between £12 - 15 million a year, making him one of the Richest sports people in the UK.

lets hope all that dosh does'nt effect him,if he had won the title i could have understood such a massive rise but i think its too much too soon

Maybe, although he has the natural talent behind the wheel, and thats the most important thing. I mean Lewis is no Ralf Schumacher, gets money so no need to impress anybody after that. [lol]
