Why does Bernie moan and groan about Silverstone?

Interlagos and Canada are known to be dumps, far worse than Silverstone. Why doesn't Bernie threaten and harass them? ::)

certainly in the case of interlagos, i can't see them having any money and montreal might have the money but where else in canada would they have a race. Mosport great track, too dangerous, toronto unlikely, Edmunton too short, trois riviers it small, etc, etc.

I think the Canadian GP should stay where it is, I don't care about facilities.

The Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is an awesome circuit.

Also, If Bernie wants to threaten circuit owners, fine. Just make the harassment fair and balenced, rather than solely picking on Silverstone.

I think why Bernie concentrates on Silverstone is he knows that people will bite back..

It gets him some major attention in the UK!

This of course is IMO

I think the LessThanSte is about right.
Bernie is smart enough to identify targets that are not in a position to do what he wants (like Interlagos) so he doesn't go for them. Instead he concentrates on targets where he knows there *is* money to do something - like Silverstone - if he shoves them hard enough.

I'd love to know what he got out of the French to suddenly give Magny Cours the all clear . . . anyone know?

He can't find anywhere else in time for 2008. He knows that there must be a French GP
