LMS & Le Mans not on Motors for 2008??

There are various threads on forums saying that the Eurosport and not Motors will be covering Le Mans & the LMS races this season.

One would assume it's because Audi & Peugeot wanted a bigger audience and are putting pressure on.

If this is true then it's very bad news. :(

Fingers crossed that Motors will still be showing the ALMS otherwise there won't be any reason to watch the channel!

Cheers, Eurosport will most probably only show highlights for LMS races - Le Mans will probably be live though.

Sounds like its Audi's doing...

That's if there isn't a more important tennis match on. ::)

Probably means the end of the whole week coverage of Le Mans, which is a pity as I liked watching Martin Haven doing the scrutineering.

I think Eurosport need a third channel, because they broadcast an incredible amount of sport - they try and cram all of it into two channels but its often hopeless as things over-run each other.

We probably won't get same day coverage for the LMS races, most probably sometime in the week.

If it isn't live coverage then it will be a very big backwards step. I'm assuming Audi & Peugeot are behind this and are paying for the air time so would make sure the programmes were live!

Or maybe Audi think the series will get more exposure with highlights on Eurosport than live on Motors...

Eurosport does have a bigger viewers base, but yes it is a step backward for us.

I would think motors tv will have le mans 2008 and LMS because i couldn't see Eurosport showing they have too many shows on there channel but what would be good if Eurosport made eurosport 2 on le mans test and le mans week all about le mans no news no nothing just Le mans :D

The idea is wonderful, but Eurosport would die of laughter if you proposed that! [lol]

so Audi's idea of better TV Coverage is adverts every 10 mins, races interupted with tennis matches, a news ticker taking up half the screen and nowhere near as many hours of coverage that you get with motors tv, Ok then Audi suck ma balls.

I've heard that Radio Le Mans are trying to put together a deal to cover the LMS races. Think I'd rather listen to Hindy & Co than watch Eurosport.
