Don't miss our Motors TV live coverage from Long Beach at midnight tonight (Saturday) for the third round of the American Le Mans Series, where Scotland's Dario Franchitti is on pole for Andretti Green Acura ahead of the two Penske Porsches and fellow Scot Allan McNish's Audi R10.

This will the shortest ALMS race ever, running for just 100m instead of the usual 2h 45m, as it squeezes into a crowded race weekend at the California street circuit, sharing the billing with Champ Car. It is the first visit of the ALMS to the 33-year old track, although GrandAm was here last year for a destructive prototypes-only race won by Mexico's Luis Diaz (who starts 7th in the ALMS tonight) and Scott Pruett.

The LMP2 cars have found what it needs to beat the Audis in qualifying around this fast 1.67-mile course on the harbour front, but can they translate that into an outright win? This will be a two-driver, one-stop race, so strategy will be dictated by how many full course yellows get thrown. There were three in last year's 90-minute GrandAm race, which left Memo Gidley injured and a half-dozen cars wrecked.

I will be anchoring the live show from midnight (24.00 UK) with commentary from our colleagues at Speed Channel - so make sure you're with us. Tell me what you think here on the forum during the race, and I'll pass your comments on to our audience, which judging by Sebring and St Pete is going to be big again...

Then tomorrow (Sunday) I will be joined by Carlton Kirby and David Leslie for our full coverage of the Monza 1000 Kms, opening round of the LMS season, where Peugeot makes its race debut with its diesel-powered 908 coupe, against the best prototypes in Europe. Motors will be live from Monza from shortly after 11.00 (UK).

oh thats great DuffDave :), yah using the B update that is the second ? much better then what they came up with, the back was impossible to control, 338km on Spa, is what they could have done if Spa'67 still existed imo.
& 319 on LM (first mulsanne-strait)
i'll try you're last update tonight :)

Try setting your alarm clock for tonight. ;)

Hindy has his email working, people can send him stuff via studio@0157.org although I think he will have his hands full during such a short race.

Just tested it (with newly made setup), it is indeed a subtle change, but a good one, handling is better, think you changed the basic car downforce? and moved engine power from bottum revs more towards the middle ? could be completly wrong though was a short time on Spa'67 (one blink of the eye and you'll lose the car there) :D
but definitely a keeper, thanks
