Cheers for the apologies throughout the commentry about the missing first lap (I counted about 12), and the apology now. We know it wasn't your fault. But I hope the guy in the English communications centre that deals with the feed is at the very least hit with a stick or given a chinese burn.
Ta Mark! great job as always!

i missed the race live but i watched the re-run and my goodness the organisers must be very red faced after that debacle. jamie green and adam carroll both had their heads screwed on and pitted nice and early seeing that a safety car HAD to be deployed and yet they got punished due to the driver of the safety car not doing his job right. it was nice to see hakkinen win and all but really, they should make that race void or something. the result is so fake. lauda for one must be laughing all the way up the championship because he caused it all in the first place and for a driver of his undoubted LACK of talent to get the points he got just shows how much of a joke that result is.
my two fave drivers (jamie and adam) probably would have finished 1-2 in the race but as it happened, they both got punished by the poor organisation and then carroll got screwed even further by being rammed by green, costing him a points finish that would have been very much deserved after being one of the fastest audi drivers of the weekend (despite drivng for the worst team in dtm!). i hope they finish 1-2 at brands to make up for this!

Must agree, after watching the re-run later on in the evening it just showed to me how much of a farce the race was. Come on guys this is supposed to be the F1 of Touring Cars and the safety car doesn't even know who is leading the race? What a joke and if I was a punter at the track I would have been well hacked off. I personally thought they should have made the race a non-points scoring race after what has happened but they have decided to stick with the result, and I can see why Audi was so annoyed at the result.
Must say I felt Susie had a fairly good race considering the safety-car fiasco and she proved she was more than capable of keeping the likes of Rockenfeller and Luhr behind her towards the end of the race. During a break in the MotoGP, which I was watching live I turned over and saw Hakkinen and Di Resta, who were 1-2 at the time and then saw Susie third on the road, and I was gobsmacked, until I realised she was a lap down. Perhaps at Brands she will be third for real

Watched a re-run of the race. What a farce!!! Was glad Mika won, and was even more pleased for Di Resta (amazing!), but the result was completed distorted given that the Safety Car picked up the wrong car. Given Mika was one of the last to pit under the SC he should have rejoined at the back of the train of cars towards the back of the field. Instead he emerged 1st and lap ahead of most people!!!
Drivers like Paffett and Susie were robbed as their early pitstops should have moved them up the field, instead they found themselves a lap down with their races destroyed! Wasn't fair at all IMO.
However the best thing for the sport was to keep the result as it was and move on to Brands! Hopefully Susie's rotten luck this season will come to an end on home soil!
