LIVE FROM DETROIT

Motors TV is live from Detroit tonight (Saturday) for Round 9 of the American Le Mans Series, where David Brabham has put his Highcroft Acura LMP2 car on the overall pole, following his LMP2 win at Mosport only six days ago.

Audi may be on pole for the Brands Hatch round of the DTM, but on the rain-soaked streets of Belle Isle, its R10s could manage only 8th and 9th on the 28-car grid, and start behind seven LMP2 cars.

I will be anchoring the Speed coverage starting at 19.30h UK, so join me then and I'll mention you whenever I can.

With the Acura's up front and Porsche and Audi coming from behind it should be real fun. Lets hope it will be just as classic as last year. I remember the director going to the Audi pits just as the Porsche tried to overtake them and all the mechanics were watching the telly too and not happy to see themselves instead of the action.

And what about Zytek and Acura going to LMP1 next year, which means possibly four new cars. And with Peugeot coming over for the big ones (maybe) I really can't wait for Sebring.

Indeed, last year was fantastic racing and with the Acura's in the game as well this one looks even more promising

Seems like they are having trouble getting the coverage off Speed.
