Anyone else been watching this, its been repeated a lot? 1988 was the last time i went to Le Mans, and it was the best of the 3 times i went, a fantastic race and atmosphere, and of course the Jag won which meant the Brit contingent went mad!! I ended up as part of the track invasion from the Ford Chicanes, and then into the pits.
1988 was the last year before they put chicanes on the Mulsanne.
I did notice the picture quality was lousy a lot of the time, not even 20 years old!!! But i really enjoyed reliving 1988, even if it was compacted into about 50 mins!!
Are Motors planning on showing other years?

Best. Show. Ever.
Even condensed into a highlight show the 1988 Le Mans was a thriller and seeing those Silk Cut Jaguars eat up the Mulsanne Straight again really made my day.
I'm hoping they show a few races from 90's so we can see the closed roof protos at their absolute pinnacle.

Check out Duke video for videos of almost all of the Group C Le Mans, WSC races and WSC season reviews. Not advertising them, but if you like your sportscar racing you'll appreciate them! Now if we can just convince them to put them all onto DVD...

What about the year of the flying Mercedes? And I would love to see the Ferrari 512 and Porsche 917s again, and the 1966, without the rubbish soundtrack on the Dukes Video "This Time Tomorrow", when Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon got right up the nose of Henry Ford by beating the American drivers. Brilliant. That is another question. Why do we, in motor-racing, get so much irritating and distracting music dubbed onto what we are watching? We want engine noise, we want the squeal of tyres, not a drugged out guitarist playing a tune no one recognises or bought at the time it came out, (other than the funny little sound man who did the dubbing and is reliving his youth as a rocker). ![Mad [mad]](http://www.motorstv.com/en/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)
