Hallo Leute,
gibt es für die BTCC schon n offiziellen oder n inoffiziellen Kalender? Würde mich mal sehr stark interessieren.

Danke für Hilfe

Fabian

Hi,
has anybody the 2007 calendar for the BTCC? Here in german motorsport magazines is nothing about that. Are there any rumours in great britain?

I hope yon can help me.

Fabian

I would be suprised if it looked much differnet to this years calender. The series already visits all of the circuits that are capable of holding a BTCC event. But Alan Gow has said, over on the btcc.net forum, that both the Brands Hatch Indy and GP circuits would be used.

Be good if they went back to Rockingham, seemed popular enough with the drivers back in 2003.
The organisers usually wait to announce dates until after other major series have been finalised (F1 etc).

Rockingham?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Mr Gow,
Are there plans for the BTCC to race again at Rockingham? Based on my past visits to Rockingham I have always found it a great day out at what is one of Britains' best circuits. It's very spectator friendly as the whole track can be viewed from virtually any point around the track. Fans even get to view the racing from on top of the pit garages which I thought was a great idea and would certainly fit in well with the spectator friendly series of the BTCC.

Thank You for taking a look at this question,
Jamie

No...there is no plan to appear again at Rockingham in the foreseeable future.

In fact I think you will find that there are now no major championships using that venue.

Shame really 'cos I reckon that the race at Rockingham was one of the most exciting races ever

Mondello Park have announced that they are taking a sabbatical in 07 and hope to be back in 08. The reason given was "logistical issues with the support series"

Thruxton will replace Mondello and therefore have 2 rounds.

BTW Gow has confirmed that 1 of the 2 BrandsHatch rouns will be on the GP circuit in 07.

This is all good news.

Sorry to the Irish people, but Mondello is a boring track and Thruxton is the best track of the year so I'm SO happy that this swtich has happened.... :D

Good to hear that the BTCC will be back on the GP circuit at Brands, it is seroiusly under used in my view and should be used more often.
