well practically he wheelspinned it off the line and lost 5 places, and then started to catch back up in the race, but then near the end he locked the brakes into turn one and hit Ekström and therefore got a drive through pentaly. after that he didnt seem to have as much pace and finished in 8th

If you hit from behind generally it's your fault, I didn't see that incident myself so I have no perspective on it. Talking of Penalties did Gavin Smith get one for that hit on Mike Jordan in race 2 of the BTCC or Jason Plato for the stupidities he performed in the same race?

Um, i didnt see a lot of wheelspin, just looked like he completely missed the lights. Dont DTM cars have launch control anyway, rather than a proper clutch start. In that case, doesnt he just have to press a button and off he goes?

The penalty did look a bit harsh, especially in the context of what happened at the Norisring where Abt repeatedly drove into Green, despite being lapped by him, and eventually put him in the wall, yet got no penalty whatsoever. Its the consistency of decision making that's annoying.
Ekstrom had already made an error under braking and Green tried to take advantage, and neither car ended up out of the race, so I thought Green was unlucky to get the penalty.

The second race in the BTCC was just "bumper cars", really... car pieces flying absolutely everywhere, which is not a great thing in a series where they have three rounds per race day... was a great shame that Jason Plato didn't make it into the third, especially after his great result in the first race of the day.
Hence you can't really compare BTCC and DTM... Green wouldn't have been penalised in BTCC, he'd probably have been reprimanded by his team for not being aggressive enough, lol !!

after seeing him in practice on friday and then again on saturday in the morning, again he always outstanding in qualifing and really cocks up his race starts, into the first bend or at some stage during the race, why.........
i put it down to nerves and having so many cars so close at that time of the race and during the race either his mind wonders else where..............
any way a good race as all the others have been, oh by the way you could not miss the flags this time at the start of qualifing and during race day

How many races could Jamie have won if he had got it right this year?
I suspect he would be further up the table if he had kept a cool head.

At least 3 races this year, and a couple last too! It's frustrating as I feel he has the basic speed but...

Well he has shown that he has the pace to be at the front this year as his qualifying performances have shown but he has been unable to put it together in the race, which at the end of the day is when it matters most and surely he should have won a race this year with all of the front row starts that he has had. Who can forget him falling off the road at Brands when he had the race at his mercy. What will it take for him to win a race in the DTM?
