ITV to show race 2 and 3 live, for Brands only

I agree, it is a baby step. But at least the ITV are trying.

With as many channels as they have it amazes me that ITV doesn't do more in terms of TV coverage of sport... they could quite easily show Saturday practice of F1, for instance, on ITV4 or whatever but choose not to... with the number of digital channels now around the terrestrial broadcasters really cannot argue the old case that they have to balance sport against other types of broadcast that people want... seen the Saturday ITV4 schedule?!?!?

...doesn't start until 12.20pm, then repeats of such "classics" as "Police, Camera, Action" until 6pm...

I compltely agree Sean.

ITV mostly show repeats on their digital channels, so why not just show the F1 practice sessions?

It could be all on ITV4 or ITV3. Both channels channel mainly show repeats of crap programmes.

ITV should put there extra channels to good use, rather than filling them up with crappy repeats.

ITV are able to show more stuff on ITV4 in future as they are finally being allowed to increase its on-air hours earlier into the day.

This is being done to co-incide with their coverage of the Rugby World Cup.

Hopefully thier other sports coverage will benifit from this extention too.
