Is the safety car too slow?

It the thing that drives the world MARKETING !!

look at audi even today one of the most notable things was drivers asking the pace car at le mans to slow down as they couldnt match the pace of it in the wet.

yes but it never gonna have the same sales as a fast saloon or estate.

The SL Merc isn't an estate, plus a Porsche 911 has many more customers.
