Im watching the busch race on TVU now, first time ive actually used it and it is actually better than i thought it would be. Bit blurry, but cant really stop that.

But how refreshing is it to hear Alan Bestwick and Wally Dallenbach rather than unamusing and frankly quite irritating Bill Weber?!?!

Bloody nasn,started watching cup race last nite felt a bit tired at 1130 so thought i'd tape the end.
Went to watch the end of the race tonite and those feckin' idiots at nasn stopped the feed at midnight.
Well thats it i've cancelled nasn,just got to hope another channel gets cup racing next year or i'll have to have a go with that tvu gizmo.
Will i have to get broad band for tvu? still on dial up been meaning to change but havent got round to it.

yeah i was watching it live and it automatically cut off at midnight - luckily i found it was also being shown on setanta ireland (bizarrely with slightly worse PQ!) so didn't miss much. good job i wasn't sky+-ing it.

you would think nasn would have a contingency for when races over-run - several times in the past i have been caught out with sky+ stopping at the "scheduled" finish time.

and i won't even start about nbc switching their post-race stuff to cnbc (which we obviously didn't get).

i think you'll need broadband to get a decent picture in TVU - i doubt you'd be able to stream even mp3, never mind a TV picture. give it a try though - nothing to lose.
