In august  i'm plan on traveling to the east coast of the USA to watch 3 weekends of racing. First of all the nascar at Watkins glen on the weekend of the 7/8 aug. Second The AMA motocross at Unadilla on the 14 Aug (its about a hundred miles away from the glen). Third Weekend travel down to Bristol in Tennessee for the sharpie 500 on saturday 21 of August. So any tips on roads  hotels/motels and just cool stuff to see on the road trip would be a great help

Might sound daft.... but I started my research and planning of our road trips using Google Earth (once a rough plan of possible destinations where decided). Shows all motels, gas stations and tons more things that would interest you.  I used this for our recent texas road trip, we would have drove right on by lots of different things if it was for Google!
