Just joined up after hearing the commentators talking about it.
Thanks guys, doing a great job. I got Sky just to get all the motosport on MotorsTV and Eurosport.
Are the DTM running on the Indy or full circuit at Brands?

Really? Why oh why are they not using the full circuit???
These cars really need the full circuit! It will look pathetic compared to the other circuits they go to...

Jonathan Palmer said something about everyone seeing all of the race on the Indy circuit.

hey everyone,
They can't race on the indy. As someone said above it will look stupid, and it won't make for good racing at all.

They will race just fine, if a Champ car can race on it then a touring car should have no problems.
I have booked seats in the Paddock grandstand

i went to two of the three days of testing at brands in march.i have to say,on tv the dtm cars are subject to major injustice. in the flesh[well, carbon anyway]these cars are awsome.fast, noisey and in the teperatures i saw them in,they looked like a handfull to drive.Tom Kristensen doing a race distance was fantastic, totaly on it! Bernd Schneiders c-class sounded unbelievable.

well they tested on the indy circuit and as far as i know will race on it too. i think they were a bit frightened of.not too much room for error and all that. they were running in the 42sec bracket.i think last time champ cars used brands they were running 37-38secs. so,i think we can safely say they are quick!

It's on the Indy Circuit according to Autosport but I'm not worried. I'd have said that those cars racing on a bumpy street track with 40 second laps comprising of three straights, two hairpins and a chicane would be absolute rubbish til I saw them race around the Norisring.

I think I've done the maths right.
If the DTM cars lap Brands Indy at around 42 seconds, that will be an average of 162 kph or so. Which is something like 97 mph.
Hmmm. Not bad for a tin top!
I bought my ticket a few of weeks ago and was a bit surprised to be informed that my "grandstand seat would be advised closer to the race date". Surprised I couldn't select which grandstand I wanted to sit in. Is this normal for Brands now?

It was last year for the A1GP. All I could order was a 'grandstand seat' with no choice over where. Ended up in one of the temporary ones by the start / finish line but was a very good view - especially as they're only using the Indy Circuit for the DTM race.
