Does anyone know of a game featuring the Group C cars from the 80's & 90's?
A while back 3d motors showed a preview from a game in development, but it was a mod and I can't remember whether it was for Nascar or one of the F1 games. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

The GTP mod for NASCAR 2003 featured 4 of the cars, Sauber, Jaguar, Toyota and Mazda, try downloading it from http://www.wrracing.net/nascar/GTP/Redline_GTP_V110.exe

I wonder whether Simbin would be interested in a Group C/IMSA/Group 4 sportscar version of GTR. With the interest in historic racing it could prove a winner.

Imagine being able to race XJR's against the Sauber-Mercedes, or the Porsche against the Ferrari from the 70's like in the film `Le Mans`.

it's a great idea but your heading for the wrong studio. Simbin made race, Blimey made gtr, gtr2 and gt legends (they split basically)

Would be able to recreate some of the great races of the 1980's with some of the best sportscars ever to race in my opinion. The likes of the Saubers, Porsches, Spices, Tiga etc would be great to race and I'm sure it would be a winner with the punters.

Sorry to bump this thread but
Nascar Heat has a Group C mod.
http://www.cholerix.net/
The GTP mod for NK3 is superb, if you can get v1.0 it's even better.
There is a modern prototype mod for GTR 2
http://perfectdarkfr.free.fr/download.html
and there is a prototype mod for F1C made by the people who are making the one for rfactor. VLM.
check out
http://www.virtua-lm.com

Hope that helps

don't worry about bumping thread, hi btw

http://perfectdarkfr.free.fr/download.html
this mod will get dyson lola's when the ex257 is released, because i've made them they just need finishing for gtr2.

but keep that off rscnet and anywhere else because it might not happen ;)

Hi Dave,
I've lurked here for a long time but decided to come out of the woodwork [lol]
look forward to your add on to the add on.
I am always impressed by you guys who can do stuff like that, and very grateful it keeps the games alive.

is something i like to do. I nowhere near the best skinner in the world :( but I like to do it. And tend to do things that no one else does.

The dyson lola for exapmle has no template and not many skinners want to skin things without one, so i do. :D

I'm slowly posting all my gtr2 cars here:

http://scooterman.createforum.net/viewt ... scooterman

and there are a few more on rscnet under the username rduff :D

Sports cars can be either luxurious or spartan, but driving and mechanical performance is requisite. Many drivers regard brand name and the subsequent racing reputation and history as important indications of sporting quality.
