Yup, I'd really like to see Timo take Kubica's place at BMW.

Timo has had too long in GP2 for his title to have any real weight. He may be able to keep his test role if he is lucky but he should go back to Champ car if he ever wants to win anything.

I don't agree, I think Timo this has shown this how good he is.
Just remember, this year he's had numerous mechnical problems, which lost him quite a few points. But his stunning pace saved him.
In the first half of 2006, he was driving for BCN, who are back markers. When he changed to i Sport for the 2nd half of 2006, he was on decent pace instantly.
And year he's built on that.

Yes, Timo deserved the title and deserves to progress from here.
He performed magnificently today under extreme pressure... there must have been loads of supporters of Di Resta willing him to fail, but he didn't just "do enough" but he won the race in supreme style (!)

Sean, do you mean Di Grassi, Di Resta races in DTM?
Yeah Timo socked up the pressure impeccably today, and just drove his normal great speed.

I think I did mean Di Grassi...
Tired... been a long time since I awoke at 4.30am this morning for some reason I can't explain... pub lunch probably didn't help...

We all make typing errors.
I've been up since 4:55 am, at least we'll get more sleep for China!

I watched both of the races over the weekend, and must firstly congratulate Timo Glock on winning the title after a good performance in the final two races.
I must say I was staggered at the lack of people who took the gamble on slicks in the first race, as the six that did that gained almost 70 secs in 6 laps! I'm sure there were a few people scratching their heads at that point.

Well it actually wasn't that wet to be honest, not enough to warrent wets.
The circuit quickly dried up, and the guys on wets just went backwards.
Many crashes though, some just couldn't hope, including Mr Di Grassi.

Indeed, even Bruno Senna wasn't immune to a crash or two after he changed to slicks. It was a bit of a shame for Di Grassi as they built the event up as a great battle between him and Glock and it turned into a bit of a no-contest in the end.

This is the problem with Di Grassi, he is quite slow and makes mistakes.
The conditions were tricky, but Glock managed fine, I'm do glad the true raw pace man got thr title.
It would have been crap to see Di Grassi win, consistency but no real speed.

Where do we think Timo is going to be next season? Surely he won't stay to defend his title, will he? Surely F1 would be the logical next step, given the fact that Hamilton and Rosberg have both moved to F1 after winning the title.

I think Toyota could be a possibly.
I reckon Willaims or Prodrive could be perfect for Timo, he can be compeitive in his first year...

Well given that Ralf has said that he will be leaving at the end of the season, I think Toyota could be a viable option for Timo, although how well he would perform would be open to some debate if he did go there.
