As you may have noticed, there isn’t much new out there of late. So, why not take a look at what’s out there on the Internet navigator and as you will see there’s quite a lot out there to keep you busy and you can find all the links to these games in the 3D Motors Forum section.
We’ll start with what is a fantastic but not very interactive game. This Intel sponsored game requires quick reflexes and the ability to hit the space bar like a mad man to put in as fast a pit stop as possible and you’ll compete in a slalom type event….while the graphics are sharp the rest is a little too superficial.

The NZ Sprints from New Zealand is one of the most popular winter series on Motors TV. The game has an official license from the series and the circuits a copy of the over the top layouts from the land of the kiwis…this is a must for fans of this wet and wild sport, which we can confirm is very difficult.
There are also some interesting technical strides being made in this genre.

This how console play was 15 years ago, obviously a tick rigid especially with this jet ski game but some progress has been made. This power boat, for example, begins to do a good job handling the waves and wakes from your opponents. While it is far from being a simulator it is intriguing.

Where things become really impressive is with the games that look to be not terribly   interesting that hide a game play requiring real skill. Case in point is this super truck where you’ll go off the road a dozen times before realising just how early you have to get on the brakes.

We can all agree that this Super cross game is way off but it allows to shine the spotlight on what navigator games are missing. As you can see, the track is nearly perfect, but like with the jet-ski game, the rider is far too stiff, which is enough to put off the majority of players.

But then there are the stars of the category. This rally-raid game made in BP/Volkswagen is a favourite among millions of on-line players. Both the quality of the driving and the circuits are top notch.

A little harder but not as nice is the overly ambitious Audi Le Mans game. The big drawback is the circuit itself. It is a pale comparison to the awesome 24-Hour layout. When you are experienced player that has memorized the nuances of the classic circuit you can get caught out and that is massive shame. And the game play is a little too difficult to discover the track in ideal conditions…best to take a pass on this one.

It is the same story with the minimalist Renault F1 game. The idea here is to make the game easy and accessible to the masses but on the technical side it isn’t up to snuff.

While we’re on the subject of micro-machines, we highly recommend this rally championship that is a lot of fun. It is as simple as it can get but it works to perfection.

And we haven’t forgotten fans of stunt flying and this is another case of the simplest ideas being well carried out. A game such as this proves that it isn’t necessary to pour thousands of euros into an ambitious flash game to offer fun game play.

ESPN Fantasy Nascar is quite a nice game even though Nascar racing with a keyboard isn’t very sexy.

This game is informative and does a good job of re-enacting the intricacies of this American motor racing series, like drafting. This game may seem somewhat uninviting but it is, honestly, very interesting.

And we end this segment with a look a tour favourite game Talladega Nights…it’s funny, it’s creative and well made….if there is one you must have it is this one!
