I think we should all take a moment to step back and consider that this will be the final races of the Renault Clios in their current guise this weekend.
With apparently several thousand cars on order for next year the future looks bright for the series, but the current model has given us some great, no, some FANTASTIC racing over the years and I think we should all take stock of this fact, thank Renault and all the drivers past and present and appreciate the final two races (though only one on TV )
of a special car in a special series....
Thank you Clios, for all the heart in mouth excitement you've given me over the years!
If the new car is only as half as good, racing wise, it will be a very special championship indeed!
But for now....au revoir!

I'd expect nothing less from cars that are basically same spec, low power, low grip and front wheel drive though tbh.
They have been brilliant to watch, thats for sure. Shame renault cant design rear ends anymore huh

But...but.....la derriere....their adverts say they do, so surely they must!
I'm looking forward to the new car and the bigger field, for sure...but in these transitional times things change and it's rarely for the better.....
Fingers crossed!

To be fair Paul, it's always been a good series, I just want them to have full grids, It's a bit sad when any one make series only has a dozen cars...

New car does look good and mean, and having that rear end should help with people pushing each other into spins

Well, it's over for now *stifles back tears*
What a great race to end this Clio legacy.....dicing, suprises, the leaders in a close pack, overtaking, side by side and a final testement to the strength of the cars.
And I'll say again, no series can put a smile on your face like the Clios....
After that car went clean across the grass and barely missed t-boning a few cars Anthony Reid BTCC 2000 stylee you smile in suprise and relief that nothing major happened and then when you look back at the replay knowing nothing major happened you realise it's comical to see a Clio completely shortcut the track!
Reminded me of Donington when a Clio decided to completely miss out the old hairpin and trapse across the grass and again when another one managed to go in the tiny gap between the two Dunlop advertising hoardings.
The Renault Clio, the slapstick comedy of the Motorsports world.
Merci Renault....the new car has a lot to live up to!
And now I've got to stop, because I've got a lump in my throat
